A little extra recess was well deserved! 🦊❤️

Our students had an extra 20 minutes of recess on Wednesday as a special celebration for all their hard work and incredible support of our Terry Fox School Walk!

Together, our TCPS community raised an amazing $2,538 for the Terry Fox Foundation! 🍁

We are so proud of our students for showing that when we come together, we can make a difference. Way to go, Firefoxes! 🧡❤️

Run, walk, and give, just like Terry! 🦊🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🧡 Honouring Truth and Reconciliation at TCPS 🧡

Today, our TCPS community came together to learn, reflect, remember, and honour the children who never made it home, as well as Survivors and their families.

Our students painted the windows surrounding our Every Child Matters message and tied orange ribbons along our fence as a reminder that Chaque Enfants Compte”.

We also participated in a smudging ceremony and took time to learn about the meaning and significance of smudging.

And, of course, our school was proudly covered in orange as students and staff wore their orange shirts in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Today, and every day, we continue to listen, learn, remember, and take action toward reconciliation. 🧡
