We’re looking for a Full-Time Salon Assistant to join our team at Loralee’s Hair & Wellness!

This is a busy, fast-paced, hands-on position. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, organized, coachable and comfortable staying busy throughout the day.

The position includes assisting our stylists, greeting and checking out clients, answering phones and helping with bookings, keeping the salon clean and organized, shampooing, colour mixing, stylist prep, inventory and more.

Experience is an asset, but training will be provided for the right person.

We're hiring a cook. We're adding to the crew.
$20–$26/hr · 35–40 hrs a week, scheduled in advance

Radical Gardens is a from-scratch, farm-to-table kitchen — restaurant, bakery, and caterer. We cook with whatever our farm and the farms around us produce, so the menu changes often. Open kitchen, and guests get served by us.

We want a seasoned cook — already cooking professionally from raw ingredients, and trusted alone on the line. You follow recipes and spec sheets to the letter, work hard, work clean, and if something's not right — a dish, an order, a fridge running warm — you say so. We'd rather hear it than find out later.

One thing to be up front about: every dish gets tasted by the person who made it. A lot of what we make is meat, fish and eggs, and we cook nose to tail — whole animals, nothing wasted. Stocks and marinades, cures and charcuterie, terrines, house ground, rendered fat. There's no version of this job where you skip the tasting. If you don't eat those, this won't work.

Required: Food Handler certification and proven scratch-cooking experience in a commercial kitchen. Assets: farm-to-table experience, baking, charcuterie or preservation, catering, Smart Serve, driver's license.

The job: prep and fire to spec, stock your station, clean as you go, own the waste, write things down, and work the open kitchen — running food, phones, takeout, cash. Staff meals, five days of training, cross-training, and a crew that stays. On your feet, in and out of coolers and ovens, lifting to 50 lb.
