DSB1 Summer Learning Program

Thank you families, educators and of course these fabulous students for a wonderful last day of the Summer Learning Program! We are so proud of you! 🎉🫧

So many wonderful things happening this week! Skip counting, roll and read, catapult building challenge and Freezie Day!

Summer learning is awesome! It has been a fun start to the Summer Learning Program!

We are so lucky to have Ms. Erica here to teach us about emotional learning. We learned about the different parts of our brain (the pre-frontal cortex, the hippocampus, and the amygdala), neurons, and how we can train ourselves to be better at dealing with our emotions. Thank you Ms. Erica!

What a great first day! We apologize that the busses were a bit late today. We anticipate them being about 5 minutes or so later than the original time you were given. It might take a couple of days for the times to become regular. Thank you for your understanding!

Looking forward to meeting new friends on July 02, 2024!

We all got together yesterday to play a fun game of Kahoot! Our virtual learners along with our in person learners played together to see who recognized the most logos in our game of Kahoot.

Thank you to Science Timmins for coming to our Summer Learning Program to create great STEM activities. We built sail cars and marble runs.

This week in Summer Learning we did STEM activities, outdoor learning and inquiry and had great fun!
