Such a great day to hold a pow wow outside! Kids had a great time and enjoyed the candy dance!

🌟 A big shout out to our amazing Intermediate 3-Pitch team! 💪⚾ This dedicated group of students worked hard learning new skills, and demonstrated amazing teamwork and determination, truly representing the best of our school. We had a blast at our tournament today. Big thanks to the convenors, volunteer umpires and our fellow teams for such a great day. Mostly thanks to our Intermediate Polar Bears for making us proud today.

Chloe can always be counted on to show up with kindness and compassion, and is dedicated to being a positive role model and student. Over the years she has demonstrated nothing but integrity and responsibility in her day-to-day choices and her dedication to her academics is exceptional. We are so very proud of you, Chloe! 🐻‍❄️

Today, the Junior/Intermediate students walked to raise awareness of the Moose Hide Campaign. We drummed and sang as we walked and the students made signs to let passers by know why we were walking. Wearing the moose hide pin is a sign that you will protect women and children and have the conversation with others as to why this is so important. Chi-miigwetch to our polar bears for taking part.

May 10th honours Jordan River Anderson and the promise of Jordan’s Principle: that First Nations children receive the products, supports and services they need, for health, education, and social well-being. In Ontario, stricter rules and backlogs are impacting children and their caregivers.
Spirit Bear represents the 165,000 First Nations children involved in the case at the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.
