On Friday, we gathered as a school community to celebrate Thanksgiving Mass and give thanks for the many blessings in our lives. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together in faith, reflect on the importance of gratitude, and celebrate the gifts of our community.

A big thank you to Father James for celebrating Mass with us and sharing this special time with our school community!

Picture Day Reminder!
Picture Day is coming up! Our ELKP, Grade 1 and Grade 2 classes have their photos on Tuesday, October 13th. Grade 3 to Grade 6 classes will have their photos on Wednesday October 14th. A special reminder that Mrs. Andreacchi’s class will have their photos taken on Tuesday, October 13th.
We look forward to seeing everyone’s smiles!

Last week, our school community stepped up to continue Terry Fox’s legacy of courage, hope, and determination! Together, we laced up our shoes for our annual Terry Fox Walk and crossed a huge milestone - raising over $1,000 for cancer research!
Every step we took was filled with purpose. As we walked, our hearts were especially focused on our fellow students within our own school family who are currently fighting cancer or honoring loved ones. Walking together reminded us that no one in our community ever walks their path alone.
Thank you to all the families, students, and staff who donated, cheered, and walked with us. Together, we are keeping Terry’s dream alive!

During our recent school gathering, our community had the privilege of witnessing a truly magical moment: granting a life-changing wish in partnership with Make-A-Wish!

Seeing our gymnasium fill with smiles, excitement, and love as this special wish was revealed was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together as a family. We are so grateful to be part of a journey that brings light and hope to children and their families.

Thank you to Make-A-Wish, our special guests, and our entire school community for helping make dreams come true!

A couple of weeks ago, our school community gathered in faith for our Inclusivity Prayer Service. We were honored to welcome special guests who joined us in worship and reflection as we centered our hearts on living out Christ's call to love, welcome, and include everyone in our community.

During our service, we also took time to celebrate our Monthly Inclusivity Award recipients—students who consistently reflect God's grace by ensuring everyone feels valued, accepted, and loved. Congratulations to our honorees!

Thank you to everyone who made this service so meaningful. May we continue to walk in inclusivity, love, and compassion every single day!

September 30th may have passed, but raising awareness for concussion safety is important every day, we would like to take a moment to recognize Rowan’s Law Day.

Rowan Stringer was a 17-year-old high school rugby player who tragically died after suffering multiple unreported concussions. Concussions are serious brain injuries—learning to spot the symptoms and speaking up can save a life.

Lakehead University is running an International Day of the Girl event on Sunday, October 11 at Lakehead University. It’s a girls’ combative movement session that combines wrestling, combative play, self-defence, and some of our body confidence principles. It’s designed to be really welcoming and accessible—girls don’t need any previous wrestling or combative experience. Ages 10-17 on Sunday October 11.

Today, we wear orange to honour Residential School Survivors and remember the children who never made it home. Our students also shared their own designs and messages, creating a meaningful display to reflect on the journey toward truth and reconciliation.
