🎨 Have you seen the stunning hallway transformation on the second floor at St. Patrick High School? Installed at the end of June last school year, these beautiful panels have created a lasting legacy for our halls! 🌟

Thanks to funding from the City of Thunder Bay’s Clean, Green & Beautiful Schools Project Grant, our space was revitalized with five vibrant wall panels representing the Social Sciences: History, Geography, Law/Civics, Humanities, and Behavioral Sciences.

Created in a modern, Banksy-inspired art style, the pieces highlight student talent and global awareness while thoughtfully incorporating Indigenous themes in alignment with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s recommendations.

A massive shoutout to the dedicated team who brought this vision to life—especially our incredibly talented student artists who have since graduated! 🎓✨

Shout-out to 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗸 of St. Patrick High School for turning his 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 into real community impact! Brayden collected 𝟭𝟳𝟱 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘀 of non-perishable items which total to 𝟲𝟳 𝗸𝗴𝘀 - all from his own block.

An incredible example of how one person’s initiative can make a meaningful difference in the community. We can come together to end hunger in our community, and we appreciate schools encouraging students for organizing food drive.

It is with the saddest of hearts that we share the passing of 2025 graduate, Owen Millington.

During his time as a Saint, Owen was known around the Performing Arts Department and the Tech Wing for his caring heart, willingness to always help and talents to build sets and fix things that were broken. He was a dedicated student who was always present and did not leave until the job was done. This past year, he left his mark on our school as a highly respected member of the Grade 12 Drama Class, an irreplaceable member of the “School of Rock” Crew and an incredibly skilled student in our Construction Classroom and on our Skills Ontario Team. His kind, welcoming and beautiful soul will be missed by all who were lucky enough to cross his path.

On Tuesday, August 19th, 2025 from 11am-2pm, our school chapel will be open and support will be available from our Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board Mental Health team. We invite any member of the St. Patrick school community to join us then for an opportunity to come together and remember.

We understand that grief can be incredibly challenging, especially in the case of a tragic loss. Our school is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for those who are grieving. Please know that you are not alone, and we are here to help. If you are in need of support but cannot attend on August 19th, please reach out to Ms. Beach, Mme. Our thoughts and prayers are with Owen’s family and friends. We want to share this Irish blessing for Owen, who will forever be a Saint. ☘️

Today is Election Day in Canada!

As Canadians head to polling centres across the country, students at our school also had an opportunity to cast a ballot in the Student Vote initiative. On Friday, thanks to Ms. Caza and her Grade 10 Civics class, ballots were marked during period 2 and over lunch. Today, our election "officials" were busy tabulating the results.

Student Vote is an amazing opportunity for students to experience the democratic process first hand and to hopefully encourage them to participate in the future.
