🏃What an incredible day! A HUGE congratulations to all our athletes who gave it their all, and represented the Falcons with so much heart, determination, and perseverance!

This week, Mrs. Mahood’s class learned about Biinaakwe Giizis, the Falling Leaves Moon, one of the 13 Anishinaabe moons. They talked about the changes they notice in the natural world during this time of year and the importance of gathering and being thankful for the gifts the land provides.
To make their learning extra special, they baked a blueberry pie using blueberries picked by Mrs. Mahood’s dad near Terrace Bay! It was a delicious way to connect our learning to the land, the season, and our families.🧡🫐 🥧

A special thank you to Anishnawbe Mushkiki for hosting this inspiring workshop for our school community. Students learned about the history and cultural significance of Métis beadwork and art traditions before creating their own artwork.🧡
