After a very successful 2025 season for many Varsity wrestlers, including the crowning of two National Champions, Lakehead University now has the opportunity to host the 2026 USPORTS WCL Wrestling Championships!

The event takes place from February 26 to March 1, 2026 at the Lakehead University Fieldhouse and Hangar!

We're looking for volunteers to support as: Scoreboard Operators, Camera Operators (tablets used for video playback), Ticket Sales, Mat Maintenance, Athlete Escorts, Security, Food Services, etc.

Congratulations to Hope Grootenboer, a Thunder Bay student and Lakehead University alumna, on being awarded one of the inaugural veterinary scholarships from the Beef Farmers of Ontario supporting future animal health professionals!
Hope, now in her first year at the Ontario Veterinary College is part of the new northern cohort of the Collaborative Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program (CDVMP.)
She plans to pursue a mixed animal veterinary career in the Thunder Bay region following graduation.
