Growing with Musik

Growing with Musik Musikgarten classes let young children and adult beginners grow their natural love of music through active music making. Come sing, move and play instruments!

Karen Kent is a retired elementary music teacher with over 30 years of experience. She is excited to be living in Thunder Bay, closer to family, and to bring her enthusiasm for early music education to Current River and Shuniah. She has done music training with the Royal Conservatory in piano, flute and ORFF and is now a Certified Musikgarten instructor as well!

Hurray for early childhood music!! Many many benefits(as we all knew!!)

Music classes for the very youngest children can set them up to one day play an instrument, but experts say the classes can also bring broader cognitive benefits: firing up areas of their developing brains linked to attention, memory and language development.

What a lovely time we had. Our fall session has wrapped up but stay tuned for the winter one after Xmas!! Happy holidays...
