Before the summer break, Student Voice and the Grade 1 class planted a variety of flowers in the planters at the front of the school, including milkweed. We are so excited to share an update on the newest members of the St. Vincent family! Mrs. Wilson has been capturing photos throughout their incredible journey.
So far, eight caterpillars have transformed into chrysalises, and we are thrilled to welcome our very first butterfly!

Earlier this year, our school held a candy fundraiser to help beautify our outdoor spaces. During the last week of school, Student Voice, Mrs. Piccinato’s Grade 1 class and Ms. Kasstan visited Creekside to purchase a variety of perennial flowers for our garden beds. Thanks to everyone’s support, we were able to add beautiful blooms that will brighten our school for years to come!

Yes, we know it’s summer break, but we still have a few special moments from the school year we’d love to share. Earlier this spring, Mr. Oster replanted a tree and installed a new plaque in memory of former student, Taylor. Over time, the original plaque had weathered and needed to be replaced to continue honouring her memory. Thank you, Mr. Oster, for your kindness and care in ensuring Taylor’s tree remains a beautiful tribute to a young life that continues to be remembered. 💜 Rebecca Piccinato Thunder Bay Catholic Schools
