πΏπOur Pollinator Garden Storyπ¦πΏ
We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible dedication and hard work of our school team, who spent this past year transforming a barren garden space into a beautiful, thriving pollinator paradise.
The journey began right inside our classrooms. To get the entire school community involved, the team organized an exciting homeroom plant-growing contest. Homerooms were challenged to cultivate wildflowers from seeds, fostering friendly competition and a shared responsibility for our environment. Alongside these classroom efforts, our team carefully planted and grew milkweed and various other native species, creating a rich habitat designed to support local pollinators. Our project received a wonderful boost thanks to a city grant from Clean, Green and Beautiful Thunder Bay. With these funds, we purchased and installed educational signs in the garden. These signs teach visitors about the vital role of pollinating species and help our community identify the plants and insects that visit our sanctuary. An achievement like this requires an immense amount of teamwork. We are incredibly grateful to every single student who contributed to this beautiful paradise. Your muddy hands, daily watering schedules, and continuous enthusiasm made this vision a reality.
Ms. Dziurda and Mr.Prezio are deeply proud of all your efforts and everything you have accomplished this year. Thank you for leaving a lasting, beautiful, and green legacy at our school! πΈπ·π»
