Congrats Orlando!
🚨 New Recruit Alert 🚨
Lakehead Track & Field is excited to announce another commitment for the 2026/27 season! Please welcome Orlando Allison!
Orlando is from Thunder Bay, Ontario, and attended St. Patrick High School. He will be joining the Thunderwolves while pursuing a degree in Business and competing in the sprint events.
Over the past year, Orlando has made tremendous strides in his development as an athlete through the Lakehead Track & Field Club. His dedication, professionalism, and commitment to improvement have positioned him to make an immediate impact at the U SPORTS level while contributing to a strong future for the Thunderwolves sprint program.
Head Coach Joe commented on Orlando joining the team next season:
“We are excited that Orlando has decided to continue his career at Lakehead University. I’ve been working with Orlando for just over a year and his progress has been amazing. With more refinement on his technique and strength, I see him being an immediate impact in our short sprints program and also a key contributor for our 4x200m relay team. Orlando has the work ethic and professionalism that we are looking for and will be a great role model for a Lakehead University student-athlete.”
Orlando shared his thoughts on continuing his academic and athletic journey at Lakehead:
“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career at Lakehead University while pursuing a degree in Business and competing with a program that has meant so much to me, the Lakehead Track & Field Club. I want to thank my family, especially my mom Sanya and my grandparents John and Cindy, for always supporting me. I also want to acknowledge my dad, Tyler. He was the one who encouraged me to give the sport a chance before he passed away, and I know he would be proud of how far it has taken me. I’m also thankful for my teammates, friends, and Coach Joe, who continue to push me to improve every practice. The culture of this team has taught me discipline, hard work, and perseverance.”
Welcome to the Pack, Orlando! 🐺⚡

Huge thanks to Dr. Sabaz for hosting our IDC class last Thursday! The students loved learning about spine function and how Applied Kinesiology (AK) can trace pain back to its real source, rather than just treating the symptoms. It was an incredible, hands-on lesson in how interconnected our bodies truly are!
