In the 2025-2026 school year our outreach team in Thunder Bay delivered in-person programs at schools in Northwestern Ontario, reaching over 1,300 students with engaging, curriculum-linked programming.

June is a time for reflection, learning, and celebration. 🧡🏳️‍🌈

We’ve updated our logo for the month in recognition of National Indigenous History Month and Pride Month—two powerful reminders of identity, resilience, and community.

The design features two feathers that honour both Indigenous cultures and Pride, symbolizing unity, science, and the path forward. It was created in collaboration with Patrick Hunter, a 2Spirit, Ojibwe artist and graphic designer from Red Lake.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the deep histories and ongoing contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities—and to walk alongside 2SLGBTQIA+ communities in support, respect, and joy.

🧪 Science Knowledge Carrier – Indigenous Outreach (Full-time permanent, generous benefit package)
Bring your lived experience and science knowledge to help develop and deliver culturally inclusive science programs that are delivered across Northern Ontario, including First Nation communities. This role blends Indigenous ways of knowing, storytelling, science, and relationship-building to make science equitable and meaningful.

🚐 Travelling Science Presenter (contract, summer position)
The ultimate summer road trip. You'll bring science to life at festivals, libraries, and community programs! If you love delivering exciting high-energy demonstrations and sparking curiosity in learners of all ages, this is your summer to shine!
