We’re on Day 17 of our 3 month trip and have just arrived in Anaheim. No, we aren’t going to Disney here, but we are planning to enjoy the RV park we booked for the next 2 nights before we park old Betty White for 2 months.
Tonight, we all rode bikes to Walmart, then had smores by the fire, while sharing stories with some new friends from Arizona. We finished the night with Abducktion and charcuterie.

Day 6: we left Winnipeg, making a quick stop at Costco before heading West. Brigit taught me and the girls proper crocheting techniques before we left, so Brandon felt like a 20 minute driver, rather than 2 hours.
Brandon welcomed us with # a broken dead bolt, locking us inside the camper. Luckily, # I had packed a bin of random things in the bottom of the banquet that included a screw driver and pliers. Murray got us out, we got some fuel and proceeded to nearly be swallowed hole by a Manitoba Crater in the parking lot. Have y’all. Never heard of a grader?
We made a quick stop in Virden for a new deadbolt and a shopping trip to the local dollar store.
By Grenfell, SK the kids needed to run off some energy,, so we stopped for a break at their recreation area and campground for a play on the playground.
By dinner time, we were in Regina. Some Boston Pizza, a conversation about travel with Anne shot the table next to us and her 4 kids was just the thing we needed.
As the opportunity to visit Chuck E Cheese was in the same lot, we took the girls to play some games. After some googling, we learned that Regina does not allow overnight camping in town, so we checked what was close by and found a very special stop.
We are currently headed to Rouleau, Sk to DOG River. Maybe we will have breakfast at the Ruby, or fill up at corner gas.

Day 6: we made it to Regina by dinner time. Although Betty White decided she didn’t want us to leave in Brandon, so she locked us all inside. Thank goodness I put a bin of random things under the bench that included a couple screw drivers and players. Dinner at BP, where we met a really nice family that had just moved form Bc and were talking about all the destinations we are on our way to. Talk about a conversation starter.
After dinner, we took the kids to Chuck E Cheeses to play some games. After googling, I learned you can’t stay in Regina overnight in an RV, so we decided to head to Rouleau, Saskatchewan to check out Dog River and Corner Gas.

It’s Day 4 of 3 months of travel. Driving days are a good time to get book work done, as there’s not a lot to see where we are currently. The drive today is only about 2.5 hours, but we got a little bit of a later start, so we stopped halfway to make lunch and let the kids play on the playground.
We’re still new to full time travel. We are working on getting a rhythm down. Figuring out how far to go, when to stop, what to do, and what to eat will all come with this lifestyle. For now, we just do the best we can.

Day 3: another gloomy day. We rode bikes a little, played some pool to learn about angles and geometry, then some Rummy, and Bonanza. Eve won Bonanza!
Then, it was time for Eve to finish her book work. Yesterday was Pearl’s day to complain about doing her book work, so today appears to be Eve’s day. Luckily, Eve learned what erasers are for, after she decided to just finish the activity without caring about the outcome. Homeschool is not like school, she learned that the quality of work she creates will not be accepted as “doing her best” if she hasn’t actually tried her best.
This afternoon, we will be building a compass.
