Update‼️
The larger of the elevators in Chancellor Paterson Library is now in service [located by the southwest stairwell; to the right of the main doors].
All library floors remain open and can be accessed using the stairwells located in all four corners of the building.
You can continue to borrow library materials as usual. If you need help accessing materials on the upper floors, please visit the Library Services Desk—we'll be happy to assist you.
We'll share updates here on our social media and through the Media Bulletin (email) as they become available.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your support.
See you soon! 👋

A steady rain in Thunder Bay this morning and a reminder that much of what was burnt will grow back.
Ken Armson took this photograph of old and regrowing forest as part of his Fire Damage Study in 1968. Job Lake, Alberta.

We're not holding open hours this afternoon. The Archives has its doors shut with HEPA filter running at maximum capacity, and folks who are safer working at home are doing so.
Be safe & take care!

We're out today at Oliver Paipoonge Heritage Park with rural women's stories from Listening to Women's History: read the quotes or listen to the recordings! Also a fun transportation slideshow to match all the amazing classic cars outside. This small historic church is starting to be our regular spot ...

This certainly meets the brief!
This photo shows the participants in a "Fancy Dress" party, circa 1890. Probably having a pretty wild time before and after posing neatly for this portrait.
