For our Sustainability Coordinator Rachel that means downloading the best bus route and highlighting the times she could catch the bus.
Planning can include:
Learning your route (any mode of transport)
Picking out your clothes
Packing your bag

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the Lakehead University Thunder Bay Campus Clean Up on Earth Day 2026!
Big thanks to Litter Free Lakes for leading our waste audit!Β Data was submitted to the Ocean Conservancy TIDES Database - which has shoreline cleanups and litter traps data from around the world!
We had:
πΏ26 volunteers over 4 hours
πͺ»55 lbs (11 bags) of trash collected
πΏ3000+ pieces of trash
πͺ»40% of the trash was tobacco-related
We encourage everyone to participate in a clean up this spring no matter where you are.Β
π Grab some gloves, a bag, perhaps a buddy, and get out there!Β
π Stay safe with bright clothes
π Be very cautious with any sharps (perhaps bring a box or plastic bottle from your own recycling bin to hold them).Β
If you are in Thunder Bay, registration is open for and Spring Up to Clean Up - they will provide materials, and you can win prizes!
