Little Button Dayhome Level 3 Childhood Educator, Amanda McColl, providing Licensed Child Care in Three Hills, AB. Lunch and 2 snacks provided. Grants available.

Outside time daily in larged fenced yard. Activities planned based on children’s interests. Little Button Dayhome is a Licensed Family Day Home through Innisfail Family Day Home Society. Amanda provides care for children ages 0 to 5 years, Open from 7 AM until 5:30 PM

Little Button Dayhome program follows the philosophy of Learning Through Play and Flight Curriculum. There are a mix of child-led and teacher-led activities throughout the day. A daily schedule includes outside time, activities, free play, meal times and quiet time. The children are provided two snacks and a lunch following Canada’s food guide. The Dayhome is located in the basement suite of Amanda’s home. It has a separate entrance around the back with an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen which allows Amanda to provide optimum supervision of the children at all times. The basement also has its own washroom. Our backyard is quite large allowing for lots of space for the children to play and includes a playground with a slide and swings. The children play outside atleast once a day, weather permitting. (We do not go outside if its under -20 with windchill in the winter or above 25 in the summer)

Meet the face behind Little Button Dayhome 🖐️

Hello everyone, my name is Amanda McColl. I am a level 3 childhood educator. I received my ELCC diploma in 2010 and have worked in childcare since.

When I became a mom in 2021, I decided to open a day home in order to stay home with my daughter. Before she was born, we called her our “little button” and that’s where the name came from. 🌈

Little button Dayhome was established in August 2022 and since then we have expanded our family with our second daughter in 2025, and I have cared for many children in the basement suite of my home. 🎨

My husband is a teacher at the public school, teaching high school Social. A fun fact about us is that we met in middle school! We were married in 2017 💒

We have one more family member, our bichon, Shih Tzu, Toby 🐶

I love crafts. My biggest hobby is crocheting stuffed animals for family and friends. As well as taking some custom orders. 🧶 I love the fall, nothing better than drinking, a pumpkin spice latte and watching Gilmore girls! 🍁 ☕️

We are a big outdoor family. We love to spend time in our backyard, tending to our garden, camping, biking, and going for walks. 🪴 ⛺️ 🚲

I have always had a passion for children, child development, and learning through play because I am truly a child at heart most of the activities that I plan are because I want to try them too! 🧩 🫟
