Mazal Tov, Kitah Aleph, on your Chagigat HaSiddur! We are so proud of our Grade One students for receiving their very first Siddurim. The excitement, joy, and pride filled the halls as our students marched in a festive parade, surrounded by cheering classmates, teachers, and families. This special milestone was celebrated with singing, dancing, and so much nachat.

May your new Siddurim be the beginning of a lifelong connection to Tefillah. Kol HaKavod to our teachers and staff for their dedication and effort in making this meaningful celebration so special!

Our 9th annual Snuggle Up & Read was a wonderful celebration of literacy at Gan Netivot! 📚✨In honour of Yom Yerushalayim, families explored an Israeli-themed “Shuk” filled with hands-on activities, cozy reading, and student showcases. We were also thrilled to hear from Israeli children’s author Rachel Raz, who read Colours of Israel via Zoom. We ended the evening with bedtime songs, Shema, and a nighttime snack to go of Shoko B’Sakit & Aleph Bet cookies!

Thank you to our amazing staff for all their hard work in putting this together and to our Netivot families for joining us for this special evening. 💙🇮🇱

Our Grade 7 students put their engineering skills to the test in a hands-on Bridge Building Challenge! Using popsicle sticks, twine, wire, and glue, they built lightweight bridges designed to hold maximum weight. After planning and teamwork, the excitement peaked during testing as each bridge was pushed to its limit resulting in plenty of learning, creativity, and a few cracking results!

This week our JK students are learning all about the letters J and Y through different letter themed centres. They also began exploring the beloved story “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” and created their own caterpillars using the letters in their names, built caterpillars with links, and practiced their fine motor skills by lacing the foods from the story onto a string. Our students had so much fun bringing their learning to life in a creative, hands-on way!
