We wish our TWS community a joyful first day of school, filled with warm reunions, new friendships, curious minds, and hearts ready for all that the year will bring!

May the year ahead be filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and many beautiful moments along the way.

There's no vacancy in the TWS pollinator condo! The mason bees have moved in and contribute to the community by "bee-ing" some of nature's most efficient pollinators. As their landlords, we help keep pests out of their neighbourhood by increasing predator pollinators. We also provide our tenants with a mix of flowers and vegetables to keep them happy.

You can spot the condo on your way down to the school. Take a look at all the activity!

Every child deserves the opportunity to flourish.

Thanks to the generosity of our community this year:

🎓 Three Vijan Family Scholarships were awarded to help High School students continue their Waldorf education.

🤝 One Cohen Family Bursary was awarded to support a High School student.

🎻 A new Music Lesson Fund has been established to help remove financial barriers to private music lessons for students in Grades 4–8, strengthening participation in the orchestra and enriching the musical journey for more children.

The Toronto Waldorf School Foundation thanks every donor whose generosity helps make these opportunities possible. Together, we are investing not only in education, but in the lives and futures of our students. 💙🌱

These past few weeks have seen a buzzing of activity in the TWS garden! We have planted lots of native flowers and flowering perennials and annuals around the campus to increase biodiversity in the school gardens. Take a peek at the orange cherry tomatoes that have started to ripen in the greenhouse! And do I spot a swallowtail caterpillar munching on dill before it makes a chrysalis?

Somewhere, a Waldorf graduate just looked at the World Cup ball and thought: "Interesting panel geometry..."

Everyone else just wondered why the keeper missed it.

Geometry isn't just something to calculate, it's something to experience. When the design of a football changes, the entire game can change. The conversations around this year's TRIONDA World Cup ball are a reminder that mathematics, form, physics, and art aren't separate subjects, they're different ways of understanding the same world.

That's the spirit of a Waldorf education.

Congratulations to our graduating Grade 12 class!

Today we celebrate a remarkable group of young adults as they complete their journey at Toronto Waldorf School and step forward into the wider world.

As they leave our halls, they carry with them the experiences, skills, and ideals that have shaped their time at TWS. We are proud of all they have accomplished and excited to see the paths they will forge in the years ahead.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We wish you every success and look forward to seeing the difference you will make in the world.

Congratulations to our graduating Grade 8 class!

Over the years, these students have grown in knowledge, creativity, perseverance, and self-discovery. As they step into the next chapter of their education, we celebrate all they have accomplished and the unique gifts each student carries into the world.

May they meet the road ahead with courage, curiosity, and confidence. We are grateful to have shared part of their journey and look forward to watching them flourish in high school and beyond.

Congratulations, Grade 8!

Last week our Grade 5 class learned about Marsha P. Johnson and her message of love, acceptance, and standing up for others. Inspired by her story, students created beautiful multi-layered paper hearts, with each layer featuring words and phrases that reflected love, inclusiveness, and belonging.

The results were thoughtful, artistic, and a wonderful expression of the values we strive to cultivate in our community. Beautiful work, Grade 5!

What a wonderful day of movement, rhythm, and community spirit at the TWS Skip-a-thon! Students gathered pledges in support of our Forest Playground Rejuvenation Project, embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.

From creative skipping styles to friendly challenges, there was no shortage of laughter and energy. The excitement was contagious, even teachers found themselves with a rope in hand! Thank you to all who supported this special event and helped our students take meaningful steps toward renewing their treasured outdoor space.
