👏👏👏

127 medals and counting — 50 Gold, 39 Silver, 38 Bronze for Team Ontario as of today in Medicine Hat. 🏅

But every one of those medals started long before this week. They started on a Tuesday night gym floor in Guelph. In an early Saturday swim practice in Ottawa. On a soccer pitch in Brampton in the rain, with a coach who showed up anyway. In the quiet repetition of a powerlifting session at a local club, months before anyone was watching.

Medicine Hat is where the results get counted — but the work happens at home, in every community across this province, with the coaches, volunteers, and families who show up week after week for our athletes. That's the real medal count.

To every Special Olympics Ontario community program behind these athletes: this one's yours too!
