Thompson Fire & Emergency Services Open House and FREE Community Barbecue will go as planned regardless of rain or snow, nothings going to stop us, we’re Thompsonites ! The only thing that may not happen is the setting up of our Fire Safety Bouncy House, everything else is a go.

Come on down see some recent life safety equipment purchases, meet your local firefighters, tour our trucks and firehall.

Join us from 11:30-2:00 for some free fire safety messaging, hotdogs, drinks and chips, and fire safety swag draws courtesy of the Thompson business community !

As you know, R.D. Parker began offering bus services to and from school in the 2025-2026 school year, aimed at our students who live the furthest away from school. This includes students in the Juniper, Eastwood and Burntwood areas.

The next step in our bus service adventure is narrowing down a list of who is actually riding the bus. Because our student population in those three areas is over 600 students, we need your help to determine true ridership.

For students with homes in those areas, please click on the link below to answer a very short 4-question survey. This survey can only be accessed using students MYMLAKE email addresses. If you are unable to access your mymlake email, please come to the office ASAP. We are asking that the survey be completed by Friday, October 9th.

The responses we gather and submit to the school district directly affects our transportation funding. So please, if you want to see the bus service continue for R.D Parker, take a few minutes and fill out the survey!
