Thessalon Adult Learning Centre Our free services to help you improve your employability and independence. Thessalon Adult Learning Centre provides continuing education for adults (18+).

We are part of the Algoma District School Board. Our mission is to help community members on their education journey, whether for personal improvement, current and future employment, or further education. We provide two types of programing:

Our Literacy and Basic Skills Instructor will help you build math, English, computer, and soft skills used in everyday life, the workplace and academic prog

rams. This Employment Ontario program is funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario. Our Highschool Teacher will help in achieving your Ontario Secondary School Diploma and upgrading credits. Every learner is assessed, and an individualized program is set up to suit the needs, goals and time frame of the learner.

Please note that we are closed for the summer (July 1st to September 2rd). We open to the public on September 4th and Angela will reach out to you in the first week of September for class registrations or any other questions you might have.

The Sault College Job Fair is coming up Wednesday Feb 7th. That's less than a week away! Need to dust off your resume and polish it up? Are you planning on going to the Fair? - come visit us for our Resume Workshop!

On Monday and Tuesday we will be working on resumes all day. In the morning we will concentrate on registration (if you are a new student) and going over how to make a resume. Afternoons will be devoted to typing away and getting that resume up to par! - we can help you with your computer skills too!
