Our graduates contribute to the social, cultural and economic development in our region and province. More than 400 qualified faculty, staff and Elder services provide the best of instruction and support for more than 2,300 students at UCN’s two campuses in The Pas and Thompson and 12 regional centres in Northern Manitoba. UCN has regional centres in Flin Flon, Norway House, Churchill, Swan River, Pimicikamak (Cross Lake), Tataskweyak (Split Lake), Chemawawin (Easterville), Nisichawayasihk (Nelson House), Bunibonibee (Oxford House), Mathias Colomb (Pukatawagan), St. Theresa Point and Misipawistik (Grand Rapids). UCN offers relevant and current programming in the Faculty of Arts and Science, Faculty of Health, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Trades and Technology, and Faculty of Business. Red Seal instructors teach many levels of apprenticeship programs, and the UCN Adult Learning Centre offers upgrading, college preparation and Mature High School Diploma. Our students get hands-on training with the latest equipment to train for the careers they want. Our small class sizes allow for personal interaction and discussion. Students have access to state-of-the art technology in our labs, libraries, classrooms and fitness facilities. Each campus has a residence, food services, a bookstore and computer labs. The Aboriginal centres at both Thompson and The Pas campuses invite all interested students to participate in cultural programs, feasts, pipe ceremonies and sweat lodges.
