"It doesn't matter where we are; we keep our cultures and traditions with us."
These words from Digital Ambassador Mehak beautifully captured the spirit of Pongal, a traditional South Indian harvest festival that was celebrated in Terrace. Observed from January 14 to 17 this year, the holiday marks the beginning of the Tamil calendar year. It was a vibrant expression of cultural pride as it brought people from the local community together through food and connection.

So many people dream of seeing the northern lights in person, but CMTN students, like our Digital Ambassador Heer Patel, get to see this beauty in their backyard! Heer snapped these stunning lights dancing in the Northwest sky on January 20. Here's what she said about them:
"I had the chance to observe the northern lights in Terrace, BC last night. It was a beautiful and memorable experience, and the sky was especially vibrant and clear."
CMTN students get front-row seats to nature’s most breathtaking shows, just one of the many reasons to love life in the North.
