Hello Students / Parents of Students,
Happy March Break!
First of all, this is a reminder that there will be no piano lessons during March Break.
This is because I will be in Ecuador volunteering at a youth camp for intercity kids from March 9-18th. This also means that Monday students and Julia, I will have to reschedule your lessons. I can offer you times on Thursday of the week that I get back, or we can just say that you and your children can have the extra week off, it's up to you!
Also, there is a small chance that I may be coming back from Ecuador sick. It may not happen, but as is the chance with any travel, I may not be healthy when I return. If this is the case, I will be canceling all lessons for the week of my return. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I wouldn't want to infect your children in any way, shape, or form.
Thanks for the understanding and have a wonderful March Break!

Hello all piano students.
I start teaching piano lessons next week and I have still not heard days and times that would work for lessons from half of you.
It is very important that I know what days and times work for you so that I am able to teach you (or your children).
Mondays and Tuesdays are my days available. I teach from 3:30 to 7 on both of those days.
Please let me know days and times as soon as possible so I can make up a schedule and send this out in the next few days.
I am going to start this coming week, which, I realize, is a holiday monday.
For those that I teach on mondays, you can either choose to start lessons that holiday monday, or start a week later on the following monday. There will be no make-up lessons for that day.
Thanks to all!
Emma
Please let me know if you have not contacted me about lesson times yet.
I will be starting teaching once my horse show season is over, so lessons will be starting on October 7th.
Hello to all of my piano students for this year.
I am planning on teaching on Mondays and Tuesdays for the most part this year, also with probably spots for two lessons on Wednesday as well.
Let me know your preferences for days/times for lessons. On Mondays and Tuesdays I will teach from 3:30 to my last lesson being from 6:30-7:00 (half hour lessons) and my times on Wednesday will probably be two spaces from 5-6.
If you are a new student, the book series that probably would be best to start with will be a series called Piano Adventures by Nancy and Randal Faber. You will probably wish to start at the 1st level book as (which are purple). There are 4 books, and their level of importance are 1) Lesson book, 2) Theory Book, 3) Performance Book, 4) Technique Book. You do not need all 4, but I would highly recommend the first 2 or 3. You can pick these books up at the music store (Mingos) in Truro. This store is on Prince street and the staff there are very helpful.
For returning students, the books that you have been working out of will suffice for the time being.
For students taking "music for young children", books are not necessary, but are recommended.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Lessons take place at my home in Balfron. I will be starting lessons Either on September 30th, or on October 7th (I will let you know when I decide).
Looking forward to lessons,
Emma
At the moment I have 10 students who have confirmed that they will be taking piano lessons in the fall.
If I have not heard from you, you are not on this list. This goes for students that I taught last year as well as new students.
If you, or your child, are interested in piano lessons in the fall, please let me know as soon as possible as spaces are very quickly filling up.
Thanks,
Emma
Piano lessons will be starting again either the last week in September or the first week in October.
Let me know if you are interested in taking lessons again this year, or starting lessons for the first time.
Spaces are limited, so please let me know if you're interested in taking lessons as soon as possible.
Even if I have already heard from you that you, or your child, would like to take lessons in the fall, I would appreciate you letting me know again, just so I am aware that you, or your child, are still interested.
Thanks,
Emma
As we're getting to the end of the season, it's time to think about next year! Let me know if you're interested in lessons next year for yourself or your child!
(Students from this year get first dibs on lessons.)
Hope you all have a fabulous March Break!
I'll see you all back on our normal days the week after the break (20th, 21st, 22nd)!
Enjoy your break!
I now have an opening in my teaching schedule.
If anyone of anyone's children are interested in lessons, please contact me and I will be very happy to answer any questions that you may have!
Thanks!
~Emma Bush
