Cuireamaid ceud mìle fàilte air Brìghde Chaimbeul an t-Iuchar seo tighinn!

Brìghde Chaimbeul is a Scottish smallpipes player from the Isle of Skye whose music moves between Gàidhlig tradition and contemporary experimental sound. Working with drone, duration, and deep listening, she creates immersive performances rooted in a tradition she both inhabits and extends.

Both Cape Breton shows will also feature PIT PONY, a collaboration by Bradley Murphy and Devon Morrison, folding Gàidhlig song into rich sonic landscapes.

Tuesday, July 28 at the Inverness County Centre for the Arts: doors 6:30 PM, PIT PONY 7:15, Brìghde ~8:00 aligned with sunset; $20 advance, outdoor, bring your own chair, limited seating, bar open. Thursday, July 30 at St. Patrick's Church Museum, Sydney: 8:00 PM; $20 advance, $25 at the door. Presented by Eltuek Arts Centre and Wild Lots, in partnership with ICCA and Beinn Mhàbu.

The Office of Gaelic Affairs is circulating a survey about Gaelic language and culture in Nova Scotia (http://gaelicnssurvey.ca/).

The survey can be completed in Gaelic or English and all responses are confidential. All ages are encouraged to respond. As a token of appreciation, participants may choose to be entered into a draw for a number of prizes, including a weekend at Colaisde na Gàidhlig | the Gaelic College, books, flags, concert tickets, and seasonal passes to Baile nan Gàidheal | the Highland Village.
