The ECFC has sandwiches on hand, but we can make delivery arrangements, and we can try our best to deliver.

We’ve gathered some supply bags filled with cleaning supplies, generously donated by the Swan Valley Co-op. While our current stock is limited, we can certainly arrange to get more if needed.

The Friendship centre will be open Saturday And Sunday from 11 AM until 2 PM. However, due to limited staff numbers, the doors will be locked, you will have to knock in order to enter. We will have cleaning supplies on hand, free to those who need for flood cleanup!

In less than 36 hours, donations poured in from near and far, raising over $5,000. Add our matching contribution, and that is over $10,000 going to flood relief across the Valley. We are so proud to be part of a community that shows up like this.

A second load of supplies is rolling out to Minitonas today, and the Elbert Chartrand Friendship Centre in Swan River is being kept stocked too. Your generosity is making a real and immediate difference for families who need it most.

The cleanup and rebuilding ahead will take time. For many families, the hard work is just beginning.

Donations are still being accepted until Tuesday, June 16. Matching is complete, but every dollar given from here still goes directly to those who need it most.

Swan River Adult Ed at 128-5th Ave N will be open today from 9:00-3:30.

Swan River Adult Ed is at the Interagency ID Clinic today at ECFC.
Lise, Donna and Lindy are available to help adults fill out forms for services in Swan River.
We would be happy to answer any questions regarding Swan River Adult Ed.

On Wednesday, May 27th from 4:15-7:30 p.m., SRAE will offer an extended evening session for current learners. There will be two instructors available to support learners.
We are providing this extended time frame so learners will be able to complete courses by the end of June.

If there is enough interest in the evening session, this is something that SRAE will consider for the fall of 2026.

Jessica Kushniryk is a Post Diploma student. She registered at Swan River Adult Education to upgrade her Gr 12 Applied Mathematics final mark.
Once Jessica completes the Applied Math course, she will apply for post-secondary courses at UCN. The staff at SRAE wish Jessica all the best in her future studies.
