Today we celebrated our director and educator, Heidi, who has worked at CLASS for 15 years!!
Heidi is the kind of childcare director who leads with both heart and intention. Her empathy shapes everything she does—she sees children, families, and staff as individuals, each with their own needs, strengths, and stories. Highly observant and a genuinely good listener, Heidi notices the small details others might miss and creates space for people to feel heard, understood, and supported.
A natural problem solver and thoughtful strategist, she approaches challenges with calm clarity and practical insight. Whether navigating daily operations or long-term planning, Heidi balances efficiency and productivity with care and purpose. She is a hard worker who leads by example, never asking more of others than she is willing to give herself.
Heidi has worked at CLASS for 15 years, and throughout that time she has learned, evolved, and grown tremendously—both as a leader and as an educator. Her experience has deepened her understanding of children, strengthened her leadership skills, and reinforced her commitment to quality care.
What truly sets Heidi apart is her ability to connect with children on their level. She knows how to play, laugh, and engage in ways that build trust and joy, while still fostering structure and learning. Under her leadership, childcare is not just well-run—it is warm, responsive, and deeply rooted in respect for children and the people who care for them.
Congratulations, Heidi!! We love you!!

A ‘summer shoutout’ post to our favourite high school student, and former CLASS kid herself, Ava!
Ava worked full time with CLASS this summer. She always arrived on time and with a smile on her face. She was ready to learn, play and laugh with us. She was flexible, willing to work with any age group, full of fun and eager to learn.
We appreciate your hard work, game-playing skills, positive attitude and your ability to engage and play with the children.
Thank you for being the wonderful you, Ava!
