Our Jujutsu program offers training for kids, teens and adults, developing practical self-defence, confidence, discipline, focus and skills that carry far beyond the mats.

We're continuing to grow our team of instructors in Sussex and build a strong martial arts program for the community.

I’m looking forward to being part of Capital Conquest 2026 this November, where I’ll be teaching a seminar in Daitō-ryū Aikijūjutsu.

It’s a pretty incredible opportunity to be teaching at the same event as my kickboxing mentor, coach and friend, 23-time World Kickboxing Champion Jean-Yves Thériault, UFC Champion Georges St-Pierre, and Soke John Therien, the martial arts icon who made this event possible.

I’ve spent a lifetime on the mats, and I’m proud to have the opportunity to represent Yamaji Dojo and share some traditional Daitō-ryū that I’ve dedicated so many years to studying and teaching.

Big News, Sussex... We're Moving!

We've been working hard behind the scenes, and we're finally ready to share some exciting news!

Yamaji Dojo Sussex is moving into our new home at the former Sussex Bowling Lanes in Sussex Corner!

Our new location is currently undergoing an exciting transformation, and we can't wait to welcome you through the doors.

This isn't just a move—it's the beginning of something much bigger.

Our expanded facility will allow us to offer an incredible lineup of programs for the entire family, including:
