All minds are sacred. When autism and neurodivergence are understood only through clinical, compliance-based, or deficit-focused lenses, systems can miss what matters: a person’s gifts, communication, relationships, cultural context, dignity, and place in community.
Journeying Together invites a different conversation. Grounded in Indigenous leadership, lived experience, research, family knowledge, and relationship, this gathering will explore compassionate and non-coercive responses to distress; strengths-based and sensory-informed support; and the importance of belonging, consent, and communication.
Speakers Dr. Louis Busch, Dr. Grant Bruno, Allison Balfour, and Len Pierre will bring distinct perspectives to a shared invitation: to move beyond asking how people should fit systems and toward asking how systems can honour the many ways people learn, sense, communicate, relate, and belong.
