Khalsa Schools of BC Khalsa School operates Sikh private schools in British Columbia. Khalsa Schools of BC are certified by the Province of British Columbia.

Since 1986, Khalsa School, sponsored by the Satnam Education Society of BC, has educated thousands of children in the metro Vancouver area through our unique mix of academic, spiritual, cultural, and extra-curricular instruction. Our founder, Bhai Sahib Jeevan Singh jee, understood that the future lay in the hands of our children and that the best way to show love for them is to give them a holistic education which encourages them to live a life full of Guru ji’s blessings. We use the BC Curriculum as our foundation, but intentionally deepen the personal learning for our students by including studies in Kirtan, Tabla, Gurmat, Santhya, and Gatka along with daily Gurdwara assemblies. Our classes are designed to teach an outstanding knowledge base and advanced skill set while continually preparing students to a high standard for the next stage in their academic career. It has been 40 years since Khalsa School first opened its doors in September 1986!

To commemorate this special milestone, we invite our Khalsa School community to join us in seeking the blessings of Guru Sahib as we begin another school year.

Our annual start-of-school-year Akhand Paath will take place from September 5–7, followed by a special Kirtan program on Monday, September 7. We are honoured to have Bhai Niranjan Singh Ji (Jawaddi Kalan) joining us for the occasion.

To celebrate 40 years of Khalsa School, there will also be bouncy castles in the school gym for the children, along with the unveiling of a special commemorative wall recognizing some of the individuals who have contributed to Khalsa School's growth and success over the past four decades.

Khalsa School is pleased to host two complimentary screenings of Satluj this Saturday, July 18. Based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, Satluj tells a powerful story of courage, justice, and resilience.

Admission is free, but seating is limited and advance registration is required. Choose from our 2:00 PM (please arrive no later than 1:40 pm) or 6:00 PM (please arrive no later than 5:40 pm) screening at the Gurdial Singh Neel Auditorium located at Khalsa Secondary School (10589 124 Street, Surrey, BC). Bring your family and friends and join us for this meaningful community event.

We are pleased to announce a 4 day evening course on parenting, boundaries and safeguarding by the Sikh Awareness Society. It will be taking place at Khalsa School Newton (6933 124 Street, Surrey, BC) from May 30th to June 2nd. It is an evening course - the timing is 6 pm to 8 pm each evening.
