We’re pleased to welcome Nikka Peredo to Southridge as our new Senior School Teacher-Librarian!

With a passion for literacy, learning, and creating welcoming spaces for students, Ms. Peredo brings a diverse educational background and a genuine love of books and stories to our community.

Originally from Calgary, Ms. Peredo holds a Bachelor of Education from Mount Royal University and recently completed her Master of Library and Information Studies at the University of Alberta. Her experience includes teaching in an elementary school and supporting learners with brain-based learning differences.

A great start to the school year! Today, we welcomed our new Junior and Senior School students for orientation, where they explored campus, connected with new classmates, and got ready for the year ahead.

Join us in saying bonjour to Tian Han, our new Senior School Modern Languages (French) Teacher!

With extensive international teaching experience and a deep passion for language and culture, Ms. Han brings a global perspective to the classroom and a love of helping students discover how learning another language can open doors to the world.

For Ms. Han, learning French is about more than grammar and vocabulary. It’s an opportunity to discover new cultures, perspectives, and ways of thinking while building the confidence to communicate and connect with others.

The countdown is on! One week until the halls are buzzing again, our classrooms come to life, and a new school year begins at Southridge.

As we get ready to welcome our community back, it’s worth thinking about what makes Southridge such a special place to learn and grow. At Southridge, being a small school isn’t simply about our size - it’s about the way a close-knit community creates space for students to be known, supported, and inspired to discover who they are and what they can contribute.

From the classroom to the playing field, the stage to service, students have opportunities to explore their interests, develop their strengths, and find their place.
