The Nationals have officially started!
Skills Canada National Competition 2026 is taking place May 28 and 29 at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario, bringing together talented competitors from across the country to put their skills to the test.

Applications close May 31 for the 2026 BC Building Trades Indigenous Apprentice Bursary.
This bursary supports Indigenous apprentices in B.C. who are enrolled in a recognized trades training program. Two $2,500 bursaries are available.
Members of BC Building Trades affiliated unions are encouraged to apply and share this opportunity with eligible apprentices.

SMACNA Canada is hosting the Canada Mental Health Summits this September in Vancouver and Toronto.
These half-day events will bring contractors, workers, and industry leaders together for education, conversation, and community-building around mental health in the trades.
The summit will focus on reducing stigma, building awareness, and sharing practical tools to help support workers, colleagues, and workplaces.
