In Vietnam, it’s the year of the cat, not the rabbit. One theory is that the mandarin word for rabbit (mao) sounds like cat (meo) in Vietnamese. Yes, the Vietnamese word for cat is literally just the sound cats make 😂 Meow meow 😸 happy lunar new year! 🧧
