Congratulations to Zephan Knichel for winning the Silver Medal at the Argyllshire Gathering.

Zephan has had an amazing summer winning this prestigious medal only two weeks after his Grade 1 World Pipe Band Championship win with the SFU Pipe Band.

Zephan plays a set of Lee & Sons bagpipes with holly mounts and custom silver engraving, as well as a Lee & Sons sheepskin pipe bag.

Congratulations Zephan on this great accomplishment! Good luck on the rest of your trip!

What an incredible day in Glasgow!

We couldn’t be prouder of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band for winning another Grade 1 World Title at the World Pipe Band Championships.

SFU plays Lee & Sons sheepskin pipe bags and Highland Gear bag covers.

It is pretty special to look around the field and see so many Lee & Sons and Highland Gear products being played and used by musicians from around the world. We’re humbled to have our work be a small part of supporting so much incredible music at the highest level.

Congratulations to SFU and to all the bands who took the field this weekend. What a privilege to be part of this community.

Congratulations to the Grade 4 North American Champions, Durham Regional Police Pipes & Drums. Winning a class of 17 bands from across North America at the Glengarry Highland Games.

The band recently made the switch to Lee & Sons cowhide pipe bags. Our cowhide bag provides a warm, natural tone with excellent resonance and stability, even on hot days. We recently completed a custom set of bagpipe covers for the Robert Malcolm Memorial Pipe Band from Burnaby, BC. With the band’s deep roots in the community and its long-standing connection with the Lee family, it is always a pleasure to create pieces honouring the growth  and development of young pipers in our local community. 
Featuring classic navy fabric, silver trim, and the band’s embroidered crest, these custom covers were designed to represent the heritage and excellence of RMM.

Founded in 1994 as the youth band of the Simon Fraser University Pipe Band, RMM was named in memory of two young SFU pipers, Robert Barbulak and Malcolm Bokenfohr, who tragically lost their lives in an automobile accident. Their legacy continues through a program that has developed hundreds of pipers and drummers and earned six World Championship titles across the Juvenile, Grade 3, and Grade 2 levels.
