SuperChefs Cookery for Kids is dedicated to teaching kids food skills and encouraging healthy eating

The SuperChefs Cookery empowers children by teaching the essentials of balanced nutrition, food preparation, and social etiquette toward inspiring lifelong habits of physical and social well-being. Under the direction of world class professional chefs and educators, students learn in an enriched setting focussed upon the joy of cooking while engaging in a residential program featuring team-building, athletic and artistic pursuits.

Level 2 wrapped up with an adventure! Our Superchefs campers took their learning outside the kitchen for an unforgettable field trip around Vancouver!

🔎 At Granville Island, campers put their skills to the test with a fun scavenger hunt as they explored, discovered, and learned along the way.

🏒 Then it was off to Rogers Arena for a very special behind-the-scenes tour with Chef Bartley, Executive Chef for Canucks Sports & Entertainment at Rogers Arena. Campers got a glimpse into what it takes to feed athletes, fans, and teams at one of Vancouver’s biggest sporting venues and had the opportunity to learn from a professional chef working at the highest level👨‍🍳

Level 2 at SuperChefs is all about building independence and creativity in the kitchen! 🍔

On Burger Challenge Day, campers put their skills to the test by creating their own signature burgers. From choosing their sauce and condiments to deciding on the perfect flavour combinations, every burger is a unique creation🥬🍅🥑

It’s a fun way to build confidence, encourage creativity, and show off everything they’ve learned throughout the week. We can’t wait to see what our SuperChefs cook up!

We were honoured to welcome an incredible group of community leaders and supporters to camp this week, including Surrey City Councillors Mike Bose and Linda Annis, MLAs Linda Hepner, Elenore Sturko, and Mandeep Dhaliwal, MP Gurbux Saini, and representatives from the Surrey School District, SurreyCares, Lark Group, BC Lions, CUPE BC, BCGEU, and the SuperChefs Advisory Board✨

Our guests enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at what a day at SuperChefs Camp is all about! They watched our instructors in action as campers learned to prepare delicious Chow Mein and handmade dumplings, while also experiencing the fun 🥟🍴
