The End of an Era: The Pattullo Bridge

It’s the end of an era. Today, February 14th, 2026, the Pattullo Bridge which connected New Westminster to Surrey, BC, Canada since 1937 (nearly 89 years) has now permanently closed to all vehicle traffic. Until February 17th, pedestrians will have one last chance to walk across this historic bridge. It’s also the beginning of a new era, as its replacement, the Stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge opened this morning, to four-lane traffic. Enjoy this one last look.
