A beautiful evening celebrating International Women’s Day with the Africa-Canada Education Foundation. ✨

This special gathering brought together inspiring voices, community leaders, and powerful women to celebrate resilience, leadership, and the impact women continue to make in our communities.

Through meaningful conversations, cultural connection, and shared stories, the evening reminded us of the importance of uplifting and empowering women across generations.

Thank you to the Africa-Canada Education Foundation team for organizing such a meaningful event and to everyone who came together to celebrate, support, and inspire.

Together we continue building stronger communities. 💜

Youth Employment Skills Program - Federation of Black Canadians 21/10/2025

Announcement: Launch of the YESS Program in British Columbia!
We are thrilled to announce a major expansion: the official launch of the YESS Program in British
Columbia! This marks a significant step towards empowering Black youth in the province, and we are
dedicated to ensuring a successful first cohort.
The YESS Program is a 7-week employment skills training initiative designed specifically for Black youth
aged 18-30. Upon completion of the training, participants will have the opportunity to engage in an 8
week work placement, allowing them to apply their newly acquired skills in a real-world setting.
We are reaching out for your support in two key areas:
1. Potential Participants: Do you know any Black youth (ages 18-30) who would benefit from this
valuable skills training and work placement opportunity?
Action: They can apply [here](https://fbcfcn.ca/youth-employment-skills-program/).
2. Community Partners and Employers: We are seeking partnerships with local organizations and
businesses willing to host our participants for the 8-week work placement. By providing these young
individuals with hands-on experience, you can play a vital role in their professional development and
help foster the next generation of leaders.
Action: If your organization is interested in collaborating or providing placement opportunities, please
reach out to Joshua Lawal at [email protected] for more information.
Together, let’s uplift our communities across Canada!
