๐ขParents asking for help isn't a bad thing!
๐ฑParents of special children sometimes put all their energy into taking care of their children and forget to take care of themselves! It turns out parent mental health actually has a huge impact on the child's well being. So if you're struggling to care for your child, shift some of the focus on your own well being. Set regular time every week just for your self. Find a family member or a trained professional to look after your child while you go do 'You'

โDo all children with behavioural issues (such as aggression and self-injury) have Autismโ๏ธ
โก๏ธThe simple answer is No.
โช๏ธHowever, studies have shown that behavioural issues are present at high rates in individuals with Autism.
โช๏ธFor example, a 2011 study involving nearly 1400 individuals with Autism found that more than 50% of the individuals in the study engaged in aggression towards their caregivers.
โ๏ธSo the question then becomes: why are individuals with Autism more likely to experience behavioural issues? Well if we look at the core features of Autism (which include deficits in social and communication skills), we can see that a child who has difficulty communicating his or her needs may be more likely to get those needs met using other behaviours (including aggression).
๐งโโ๏ธBy understanding and addressing the needs of an individual with Autism, we can reduce the likelihood of behavioural issues and improve the person's quality of life.
