At Kinderville, we believe that the number one goal is to keep the children safe and healthy. There are opportunities provided for growth and development. Trust and care will be developed between the teacher and each child as the child will feel respected and worthy to share their emotions and feelings. Active play is important for all children as it helps with growth and physical development. It keeps the children active and lets them take their energy out. We will be having a 90-120 minute minimum outside play, rain or shine. Sometimes even more! Outdoor play is important because children need fresh air but also they need an outdoor field to play on. There will be a playground in the centre that they can play on along with other activities. Walking will also take place around the neighbourhood and to other nearby parks/playgrounds as it is nice to have a change for the children. Inside active play will be presented during free play but also twice during circle time. It will include movements through dancing, stretching, and my favourite yoga! We will learn how to take deep breaths in and out to calm our body down but also stretch our body to release tension. There will be dance parties and musical chairs which all children enjoy and love. These activities will include jumping, dancing, and releasing hyper energy. Motor skills will be improved daily by morning activities that they work on by using their hands and fingers. Physical development will also be developed each day. All active play will be supervised by the staff/teachers at all times to keep all children safe. The children will also be taught to prevent hazards such as jumping from an unsafe spot or to avoid certain objects. Along with all this fun we will be learning about different concepts depending on the monthly theme.
