On Friday, June 26, we celebrated our SHS Class of 2026! We are so proud of this group and can't wait to see where they go next.

You will be missed in our building next year, but we are happy that we were able to be a part of your story.

The end of an era... This week we bid farewell to Educational Assistant Mr. Coleman, who is retiring after 20 years at SHS. His imprint reaches far in this school and beyond. He could be found serving lunch in the Growly, helping in classrooms, the office, the Learning Centre, and various other roles in the school. Mr. Coleman's impact on students and staff will be with us for many years to come.

Enjoy your well-deserved retirement, Mr. Coleman! We look forward to having you back in the building as a substitute.

Volleyball Clinic – August Camp Information & Registration

Hello families,

Sundre High School is thrilled to bring back our annual “Shake off the Dust” volleyball clinic! This program is designed to help local students shake off the dust and return to peak competitive form just in time for the new school year.

This two-day camp will focus on:
• Skill-building drills
• Game-play rotations
• Teamwork and game readiness
• Fun and competitive volleyball activities

Location:
Sundre High School Gym

Schedule:
August 24 – 1:00–4:00 PM
August 25 – 1:00–5:00 PM

Cost:
For our camp, there is no cost to attend. However, if you would like to contribute a small cash donation to support our athletics program, it would be greatly appreciated.

To register, complete the Google Form by tomorrow June, 26 at 2:00 pm.

We look forward to seeing athletes on the court and kicking off another great volleyball season!

Greenwood Neighbourhood Place and The DEN SYC are working alongside the RVS YES program to bring a self defence/safety awareness class to the youth of our community.

Another amazing opportunity for SHS students! Thanks to our Family School Wellness Worker, Dani, for organizing this - it was a great day for some very lucky students.

The final Growly Menu of the year! June 19th is the last day that the Growly is open.

SHS had an incredible weekend at the Track and Field Provincial Championships, and our Sundre High athletes represented our school with pride! Congratulations to all of our athletes on their outstanding performances and personal achievements. Their hard work paid off, earning the most points and bringing home the Provincial 2A Championship.

Provincial Results:

Quinn Beecraft-Schaafsma achieved a personal best of 3.15 m in Intermediate Boys Pole Vault (previous PB: 3.00 m), earning 4th place.

Bella Packer threw a personal best of 36.0 m in Senior Girls Javelin, winning the bronze medal (3rd place).

Aspen Luzi cleared 1.55 m in Senior Girls High Jump, finishing 5th.

Connor Mackenzie competed in Jr Boys Shot Put throwing 10.81m and coming in 10th.

Oliver Klassen cleared 2.30 m in Senior Boys Pole Vault, placing 7th.

Kole Roberts achieved a personal best of 2.25 m in Junior Boys Pole Vault placing 7th.

Kayden Strabel cleared 1.80 m in Junior Boys Pole Vault placing 8th.

Lily McNeil achieved a personal best of 1.80 m in Junior Girls Pole Vault, placing 9th.

Emma Coleman achieved a personal best of 1.80 m in Intermediate Girls Pole Vault, placing 9th.

Aella Ziai achieved a personal best of 1.80 m in Intermediate Girls Pole Vault, placing 8th.

Aspen Luzi also recorded a personal best of 4.94 m in Senior Girls Long Jump, earning 5th place.

Ashyne Hopper cleared 2.00 m in Senior Girls Pole Vault, finishing 8th.
