Fun Friday! We are having a fun active Friday here today!

A small sample of some of the books that we have read this week.

Our theme this month is a combination of Pets, rainbows, and a touch of St. Patrick’s day. We have a vet clinic in our Dramatic play area and rainbows, and St. Patrick’s wherever else we can manage. Our block centre is full of pets and pet play sets, along with the usual blocks and vehicles.

We have just started the third month of this social emotional learning program by Pre-K kids. Every week we learn about a new emotion or topic, by singing a new song, reading a new social story, and seeing pictures of children expressing their emotions. There are breathing strategies and yoga poses to learn for each new emotion as well.

We are loving building towers with our magnetic tiles and the new magnetic blocks. Here’s a look at some of our creations from this week.

A little look at our Valentine’s celebration yesterday. We made valentines, placed hearts on a tree and ate cupcakes! A great day was had by all.

I have openings for up to three children between the ages of 3 to 5. I am switching to a preschool only group and looking to work on skills needed to successfully transition to school. Our theme this month is Love! We are also taking a look at family, inclusion, and diversity. Our dramatic play centre can be a house or restaurant. We are loving pretending to give gifts, cards, and flowers to each other as well. The fake flower bouquets, empty gift boxes, and blank cards have provided hours of entertainment, while working on real life skills.
