We have just started the third month of this social emotional learning program by Pre-K kids. Every week we learn about a new emotion or topic, by singing a new song, reading a new social story, and seeing pictures of children expressing their emotions. There are breathing strategies and yoga poses to learn for each new emotion as well.

Our theme this month is Love! We are also taking a look at family, inclusion, and diversity. Our dramatic play centre can be a house or restaurant. We are loving pretending to give gifts, cards, and flowers to each other as well. The fake flower bouquets, empty gift boxes, and blank cards have provided hours of entertainment, while working on real life skills.
