Kiddie Olympics by Family Place is back at Leger Park for Summer 2026!
Bring your family and friends to Leger Park every Wednesday morning from 9:30 am to 11:30 am for lots of gross motor fun, a craft activity, and organized games! Perfect for children aged 3-6 (younger siblings are also encouraged to come too).

Family Place's Tinker Time
Join us at St. Mary's Church Hall (74 Summer Street) from 9: 30 am to 11:30 am every Thursday morning for Tinker Time. Designed for "little engineers" aged 3-5 this group promotes creativity, early scientific inquiry, and more. Past projects had families creating cardboard box houses, homemade marble towers, exploring shadows, and so much more. We hope you can make it in for some fun Summer-themed projects soon!

Hiring: Family Support Worker (Summer Student)
Make an Impact This Summer!
Join Family Place in Summerside through The Inclusive Hearth initiative. Help local families thrive by providing essential support, fostering social networks, and facilitating child development programs.
The Opportunity
Empower Families: Use a strength-based approach to support infants, children, and adults.
Gain Experience: Receive mentorship in pre/postnatal support and parent education.
Lead Initiatives: Coordinate the PEI Touch a Truck event and community outreach.
Your Role
Facilitate Programs: Support sessions like Positive Discipline, Baby Signs, and Welcome Circle.
Community Outreach: Execute marketing campaigns and lead center tours.
Program Support: Assist with the Full Circle Family Doula program and Books for Babies.
Daily Operations: Manage reception, registrations, and phone support.
Requirements
Student Status: Currently enrolled in a University or College program (Human Services preferred).
Skills: Strong knowledge of child development and family support principles.
Attributes: High initiative, excellent communication, and a genuine love for working with children.
Checks: Must provide a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check.
Certifications: First Aid, CPR, and Food Safety (or willingness to obtain).
Job Details
Location: Summerside, PE.
Wage: $18.00/hour.
Schedule: 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
Dates: June to late August 2026.
