True and worth the effort. If you’re ready to lean into life in a new way message me to set up a time to meet.

Here's the reality of coaching: It takes effort, honesty, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone. 👣

But with a coach by your side, you'll have the support to confront challenges, embrace vulnerability, and take action towards your biggest goals.

Thought this post was worth sharing again…..more and more I’m seeing people whose AQ is underdeveloped. Look for ways to develop your hardiness factor. The last line in this post really resonates for me…..let’s prepare our children for the road rather than paving the road for them.

"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence:

1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ)
2) Emotional Quotient (EQ)
3) Social Quotient (SQ)
4) Adversity Quotient (AQ)

1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons.

2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate.

3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time.

People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down.

A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ.

Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ.

Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm:

4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind.

When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider su***de.

Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts.

Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents.

Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road."

As we draw ever closer to the final sunset of 2023, I wish peace and prosperity to you all as we prepare to flip the calendar to 2024. (This sunset was the last one I saw in Mexico earlier this week.) For more than 20 years I’ve been choosing a theme word for myself to focus on during the coming year instead of making resolutions. The theme word acts as a lens for me to look at my options through as well as an idea incubator. I post the word in a place where I will see it often as a reminder. This year my word is “building”. If you were going to choose a word what would yours be?

Wow! 10 years ago today I was attending the capstone (final part) of my coaching program at Royal Roads University in Victoria. In some ways it seems like just yesterday and in others it seems like a lifetime ago!!

In 9 days it will be June 10, 2023 - Global Wellness Day. GWD purports that “One day can change your whole life!”
So get ready….just for that day, plan and commit to being intentional about doing one physical activity (15 mins or an hour-it’s up to you), eating healthy, drinking an extra glass of water, doing/saying something positive for another, and thinking of at least 3 things you’re grateful for before you go to bed that night.
June 11th will be another day ….perhaps you’ll decide to do it all again. 😀

Pineapple Ginger Smoothie
1 1/2 c diced fresh pineapple
1 banana
1/2 c plain yogurt
1 T grated fresh ginger
1/2 c ice
1/2 c pineapple juice or water
Blend til smooth and enjoy. 💕

Wise words! If you’re looking for support with either your writing or editing….consider getting yourself a coach. The way I describe the work I do is, “I’m a confidential, non-judgemental, thinking partner who shares your goals”.

Time to plant some goals as we shift into spring. 😎

12/31/2021

As this year quickly draws to a close many of us will feel moved to set a goal or two for the next one. If that’s you then make today the day to do it.

Here are your steps to success.
1. Sit down right NOW.
2. Write down a maximum of three achievable goals for the coming year. (3 is not so many that it becomes overwhelming and we are more likely to focus on and move to action on things that we see as doable.)
3. Create a timeline with measurable targets for each goal and move to action.

Plan the Plan and Follow the Plan. The results will take care of themselves! 😀

If you feel stuck or stressed about any of this process...make 2022 the year you gift yourself with some coaching support.

Wishing you and yours all the best for the coming year. Happy 2022. 🎉
