Hello Giant's Head families! I hope you are having a great Summer!

With school starting up next week I just want to let you know that the principal will be sending out an email on Friday letting families know what the first day/week will look like (Tuesday, September 6 8:40am - 11:40am) this excluded new Kindergarten students.

New Kindergarten students should have received a letter at the end of June with a gradual entry time line. If you did not receive that letter please call the school to get your time for Wednesday, September 7th.

Well here it is, the last day of school already! School will be dismissed for students at 11:40am busses will run shortly after that. I apologize to those that were told noon :-(

Lost and found will be set up in front of Strong Start, please stop by and have a look as it will all be packed up and taken to the thrift store tomorrow.

Giant's Head families, as we move closer to the end of the school year, we are starting to plan for next year. You can help us by:

• Letting us know (contact the school office at 250-770-7671 or [email protected]) if you are planning to move before September 2022
• If you know people who have moved into our area, but have kept their children at another school for the rest of this school year, have them register at Giant’s Head now for September 2022 (only if they have already moved, we cannot accept registration unless they physical live in our catchment)

Thank you to Samosa Express for feeding just under 400 staff and students (in under an hour) yesterday! Such a generous thing for your family to do for us.

On your mark.... get set.... GO!!! Tomorrow is Marathon Day 1pm start out in the field. Come cheer the students on as they cross the finish line.

Our Ready, Set, Learn date is coming up. If you have a child ages 3-5 you are invited to join us. Please call the school to RSVP. If you have a child that you have registered to start Kindergarten at Giant's Head in September, you should have received an invite through email. We invite you to come and meet the Kindergarten teachers. RSVP deadline is May 17th.

A second session for ordering Art Cards has been opened. It will close on Friday.
