Braineer Academy Strathmore

Thanksgiving is all about gratitude, love, and appreciating the little things in life! Today at Braineer Academy Strathmore, our little artists made special Thanksgiving cards while learning what it means to be thankful.

During circle time, we shared the people and things that make us happy and talked about why they are so special to us. Then came the fun part — creating beautiful fall-themed cards to share our love and appreciation!

Happy Thanksgiving from our Braineer family to yours!

Braineer Academy Strathmore is ONE!

It’s hard to believe that one year ago, we opened our doors and welcomed our first families. Today, our classrooms are full of laughter, friendships, creativity, and lots of little adventures.

A huge THANK YOU to the Strathmore community for welcoming us and helping Braineer Academy grow and thrive. To all of our families who trusted us with their little ones, our amazing educators, and everyone in the community who has supported us — thank you!

We’re proud to call Strathmore home, and we’re excited for many more years of learning, playing, creating, and growing together.

P.S. Braineer Academy Strathmore kids — make sure to ask us for your FREE birthday treats later this week!

It’s Not a Box!
After reading Not a Box, our little creators put their imaginations to work! With a few simple cardboard boxes, they created drums, hats, robots, rocket ships and more! We love activities like this because there are no instructions and no “right” answer—just imagination, teamwork, problem-solving and lots of fun. Sometimes the best toy really is just a box!

Today we kicked things off with the letter Cc! The children made the letter C with their bodies, then searched through magazines and flyers to find and cut out their own C’s. Letterland is Back!

A fun, hands-on way to build letter recognition and fine motor skills!

Our little learners explored emotions like happy, sad, angry, excited, surprised, and worried. Using different eyes and mouths, they created faces to show different feelings—and learned that all feelings are okay! Learning to recognize and express emotions is an important step toward building confidence, empathy, and healthy friendships.

Water Play Fun! Pouring, scooping, splashing, and exploring! Our little learners had a great time with water play while building fine motor skills, coordination, and learning through hands-on fun.

Our little engineers put their boats to the test! Using tin foil, imagination, and plenty of teamwork, the children built their own boats and experimented to see what would float.

Would it float? Would it sink? How much cargo could it carry?

A simple activity turned into hands-on STEM learning about floating, sinking, balance, and problem-solving~

At Braineer Academy Strathmore, we used Easter Monday as a time to learn and reflect together.

Our team gathered for a teacher training PD day, sharing ideas, discussing best practices, and continuing to grow as educators. We also enjoyed a potluck with food from home, bringing a little bit of everyone’s culture to the table.

A wonderful day of learning, collaboration, and community.

We’re Business of the Month at the ATB Strathmore branch! A big thank you to ATB Financial for giving Braineer Academy Strathmore a spot to show off what we do. Our display includes the airport project built by our kids — proof that our preschoolers may already be qualified urban planners and creative engineers.🤩
