Monthly mini performances!
As many of us know performing encourages practice. Once a month I will encourage students to bring someone into their lesson to listen to a song or excerpt from a song, or even something they have been working on!
It’s almost that time of year!
We are getting ready to start signing up students for next year!
Added bonus this year! I will be sending students, that want to of course, to SPAF!

Practicing is hard! It is challenging! And this may be the reason you aren’t!
Do not be afraid it is a struggle for us all… practicing is finding the challenging parts and making them less challenging. Even the greatest guitar players pracrice and struggle with songs.
The reward comes when you can do what you could not before. And the more you challenge yourself, the quicker the reward comes.
Playing is when you do something you are good at. It is enjoyable, and the reward is the song you got to play.
You only get to play what you have practiced well enough to play. And you should play songs you enjoy! Playing is just as important. But again… you can only play what you’ve practiced well enough to play.
Practicing is essential to your success in lessons. If you don’t work on anything, we will be stuck on the same song or concept for a very long time. And the less you practice, the longer it takes to progress, and you probably won’t want to return because we’ll be stuck in the same spot.
