DEMO DAY | THE NORDIC CABIN PROJECT | HINTERHAUS 41

Construction has officially begun! Our first backyard house and modern ADU concept designed for shared living and meaningful space.

Many early mornings, lots of great coffee and a mountain of planning brought us to this point. It’s taken time, but here we are, and we couldn’t be more excited to see it take shape.

We’ve seen this project through from planning and zoning to drafting, design, and now construction, and this is what our studio does. We created Elevïn Design Studio to bring thoughtful, small-scale residential projects like this to life.
Interestingly, as the project has taken shape, we’ve received a ton of interest just from passersby. People are genuinely curious about the idea of sharing land and creating multi-generational housing. There’s a real appetite for this kind of living model, especially among those thinking about aging in place.

Courteney stayed with us this past week, to wrap up the summer before school. Her family was wonderful to host, and they enjoyed and cared for our vacation home as we would. They were so considerate and, as you can tell from her message, sweet and kind.
