Public Schools Branch Social media channels are monitored and maintained by moderators.

The Public Schools Branch (PSB) encompasses all 56 English public schools across Prince Edward Island and serves more than 20,000 students from kindergarten to Grade 12. Commenting on PSB Social Media Accounts

The PSB uses social media accounts as one of many tools to inform the school community about important information and events, as well as the many good things happening across our school system. Moderating will generally occur during regular business hours (8:00 am to 4:00 pm Atlantic Time), Monday through Friday. Comments submitted after hours, on weekends or on statutory holidays will be acted upon as early as possible. As per the PSB Social Media and Digital Messaging Operational Procedure, moderators will remove any or all comments or links posted to PSB social media channels that:
- are considered spam;
- promote or advertise personal websites or commercial purposes deemed inappropriate;
- contain threatening, offensive, racist, hateful or defamatory content;
- contain inaccurate or unsubstantiated information, accusations or rumours;
- contain copyrighted material;
- provide non-published or private information about the Government of PEI or its employees such as personal emails, home phone numbers or addresses;
- are off topic comments not related to the particular discussion or issue being addressed; and/or
- are identical comments by the same user (the first submission may remain shall it not be in contradiction to the above guidelines).

The Public Schools Branch Board of Trustees is now engaging with the Montague Intermediate school community and stakeholders to present the recent school study through a public presentation and begin consultation on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 7pm. The event will be held at Montague Intermediate.
