The junior skating last year was such a success we would like to make it an annual event. Last year we were able to borrow all the skates and helmets from another school who does this. However, this year they will be using them so please help our drive if you are able and have skates or helmets that your children no longer use:) I will be placing the bins in front of the school this afternoon and will begin the drive tomorrow.

So far we have not had a parent nominate themselves for PARISH REPRESENTATIVE

Parish Representative is a member who, in addition to performing the same duties as other council members:
• Brings the concerns of the parish regarding Catholic Education to the Council
• Serves to disseminate the suggestions, orientations, activities and concerns of the Council to the wider parish communities
• Assists in maintaining the Catholic dimension in the total school community

If you are interested in this role on the Parent Council at our school, and a member of the parish, please consider self nominating. There is a link in last Sunday’s Newsletter. Our 1st council meeting is tomorrow at 6 PM. We meet monthly throughout the year.

The 1st School Council Meeting is this Wednesday September 17th at 6 pm. If you are interested in becoming a part of council there is a link in the newsletter to self nominate. The positions are:

Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer
Food Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator
CSPA Representative, Community Representative, Parents at Large, Parish Representative

The expectations when you are a member of council are to attend the monthly meetings, participate in at least 1 event or committee and represent parents at the meetings. Meaning bring parents ideas, concerns or questions to our attention and share council information with other parents.

The committees typically are fundraising, yearbook, events including movie night, dance and the year end event.

Here’s to a fantastic first week of school! The kids are equally excited about the new structure and the new picnic tables from what I can gather:)

Hey Parents, especially parents of walkers-the big first day of school sign is up in the grass in front of the school. I’d love to get a group picture for the yearbook of PARENTS on the first day of school at pick up. Anyone interested, gather there at 3 pm. Let’s have some fun:)
